How we review equipment

A purchase review begins with identification, not a generic promise. We look for the manufacturer, model, serial or National Board number when present, exchanger type, materials, surface area, design pressure and temperature, quantity, condition, documentation, pickup location, loading access, and timing. A readable nameplate and several wide photographs are usually the fastest starting point. U-1 forms, drawings, data sheets, inspection reports, and maintenance records can reduce uncertainty when they are available.

Specification and market fit matter more than physical size alone. Two exchangers with similar weight can serve different industries, use different alloys, carry different documentation, and require very different rigging plans. That is why we do not publish a universal percentage of original cost or guarantee a fixed price per pound. A serious offer follows a review of the actual equipment and the practical path to reuse, repair, parts recovery, or material recovery.

What our role does—and does not—include

We are an independent equipment buyer. We are not a heat-exchanger manufacturer, an authorized repair organization, an engineering certifier, or an installation-approval service. Manufacturer and model names on this website are descriptive. A purchase review is not a fitness-for-service determination, pressure-vessel recertification, repair recommendation, or assurance that used equipment is suitable for a future process.

Sellers remain responsible for legal ownership, safe decommissioning, draining and cleaning process residues, truthful condition disclosure, and facility release requirements. Buyers, sellers, carriers, repair organizations, and future users must follow applicable safety, environmental, transport, inspection, and code requirements.

Evidence instead of simulated endorsements

We do not publish invented customer reviews, fabricated project histories, or claims that every submitted item will qualify. Commercial transactions may also involve confidentiality. The reliable public evidence on this site is the process itself: what information to send, how equipment is evaluated, what accepted purchase terms mean, and how rigging and freight are planned.
